Chris Clemens
President
Chris Clemens was born in Orlando, Florida, October 1955. His father, Paul Clemens, who is a well-respected flooring installer & instructor, taught him well. Paul Clemens owned Stoll & Clemens Flooring in Orlando & their company installed the flooring in the original Disney Parks, Sea World and Circus World. Paul & Chris & family moved to Citrus County, FL in 1976. They opened Clemens Flooring in Homosassa at that time. Chris married Gwen in 1983, they have two adult children and still reside in Citrus County. He has 6 grandchildren. His son, Dave, is also a flooring installer & learned at his father’s knee.
Chris was raised the old-fashioned way, respect & obedience (with a little fun on the side). He spent his free time as a teen on the floor with his Dad or fishing with his Dad. Integrity leads Chris in all aspects of his business and customer care. He likes to say that he runs a business that allows him to sleep well at night. Surfaces Flooring is about creating relationships and beautiful floors over profit margins.
Joe Bell
CFO/Vice President
Bringing over 30 years of flooring and client relations expertise to Surfaces Flooring, Joe has been a member of the Citrus County Community since 1970. Working nearly 20 years with The Sherwin-Williams Company management team, specializing in Home Builder and Floor-covering Sales, Joe joined Surfaces Flooring at its inception in 2005 as Vice President and CFO.
Having always been heavily involved in the community, Joe makes Surfaces Flooring’s active involvement in the region a priority. He has served as a Life Director and Vice President of the Citrus County Builders Association, President of the Homosassa Chamber of Commerce, Vice President and President of the Citrus County Boys and Girls Club and a member of the Citrus County Chamber of Commerce.
